Biographical Information

Georgia is a mid-westerner by birth. She spent most of her childhood years in northern Illinois and much of her adulthood in Wisconsin. After having lived in Texas for 6 years she has moved to Maryland where she now resides. She has a painterly abstract style in which she studies relationships of people one to another- often times emphasizing figures in the works. She works in painting, printmaking, and ceramic mediums, often, recycling materials which come her way. She has earned both a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. Her undergraduate degree majored in Art and her graduate degree combined Art and Psychology to further her understanding of the principles of Art Therapy. She has continued studies in Studio Art at both Sul Ross State and Texas Tech University. She has taught many different aspects of art to individuals of all ages. This has included starting an art program at a private school and teaching Art Survey I and II for 3 years at the Southwest Texas Junior College in Del Rio, Texas. She has been involved in many Art in the Community programs in both Wisconsin and Texas by working with the local regional art centers. She served on the Board of Directors of the Casa de la Cultura in Del Rio, Texas, representing women in the arts.
